What we collect, and why.

Qualia Cards (qualiacards.com) designs and sells printed decks of cards. This page says what we collect when you use the site or buy from us, why, and who else sees it. Questions or requests: [email protected].

What we collect

What you put into a deck

The idea you type, the changes you ask for, and any photos you add. We use them to draw your cards. Your drafts and photos are not shown to anyone else unless you share a link to them.

Through ChatGPT

If you design a deck with our ChatGPT app, ChatGPT sends us the idea you describe, any changes you ask for, and an anonymous ID for your ChatGPT account. We store that ID only in scrambled (hashed) form, to keep your decks yours and to limit how many decks one person can make a day. We get nothing else from your chats, and no photos.

Your email address

If you give it to us: to send your receipt and order updates, to answer a quote or a question, or to send the notes on playing cards you signed up for. We send nothing else.

Orders

Stripe takes your payment. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe passes us your name, email, shipping address, and what you bought, and we keep them to make, ship and account for your order.

Visits

We count visits with PostHog, an analytics service, through our own web address. It records the pages you view, what you click, your browser and device, your rough location from your IP address, and the link that brought you here (including campaign tags). We use it to learn what works on the site. We don't record ordinary visitors' screens. People we invite to test the site get a link that, only after they agree, records their visit (with what they type hidden) so we can see where the site confused them.

Cookies

• qc_draft_session (30 days): which drafts are yours, so you can come back to them.
• qc_src (90 days): the link that first brought you here, so we know which ads and posts work.
• qc_classic (90 days): set only if you choose the older version of the site.
• PostHog: a random visitor ID in a cookie and your browser's storage, for the visit counts above.

We use no advertising cookies on this site.

Who else sees it

Only the companies that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs:

• Stripe, for payments.
• Railway and Cloudflare, which host the site and store images.
• Resend, which delivers our email.
• PostHog, for the visit counts above.
• The image services that draw your cards from your words and photos.
• Our printer, which receives your card images and your shipping address.

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising. We would disclose it if the law required us to.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules need. We keep drafts and photos so you can return to them, until you ask us to delete them.

Your choices

Write to [email protected] to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it (your drafts, photos and email address). We'll answer within 30 days. Order records we must keep for accounting stay until those rules let us delete them.

The site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

If we change this policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
